Our lodge is a 32-bed, self-catering bush camp located 10 minutes from central Pietermaritzburg, 45 minutes north of Durban, 5-hours south of Johannesburg.
Acacia means real peace and quiet - close to town. Many of our guests were once patrons of PMB's hotels and guesthouses, but all were driven out by the incessant noise of the town. At Acacia we offer everything you need to accommodate self-catering. Meals can be ordered in via Mr. Delivery.
Accommodation is in eight, very comfortable three-bedded and four-bedded wooden cottages each with its own private veranda. In addition every cottage is equipped with DSTV, air-con, blankets, bedding, pillows, cutlery and crockery for four, a mini kitchen, microwave, pots and pans and a dining table with four chairs. Heaters and extra blankets are supplied in winter.
The atmosphere is true Natal bushveld with parkland lawns interweaving through indigenous veldgrass leading to a unique rock swimming pool. All around the lodge flat-topped acacias spread shade and there is plenty of shady parking. You will find birding paths and little buck that roam the veld. The bird life is prolific on the 9ha farm.
Acacia is also ideally suited to large groups, such as school sport events, business people and discounts are offered for extended stays: five or more nights / four or more cottages. There is plenty for you and your family to do in and around Bishopstowe.
